Whale - 鯨

Kaikoura, New Zealand
(35mm Film - scanned)

This series of shots were taken in 1992 when we went whale watching tour off from Kaikoura.
Some of the images have a light over damage on the negative, but I still treasure those shots and they bring back the excitement I had at the time.

  1. Wow! They are spectacular - well worth treasuring. Beauty, grace and enormity are all expressed. Lovely.

  2. Yes, they are spectacular, aren’t they?
When a photo shop developed this, they are impressed but I was disappointed by the damage I made on negative.
But they are still my treasure shots.

  7. Kate,
I took those with my Nikon F4S with 70-210mm Zoom (at 2010mm side) with continuous shutter mode.
