My personal footsteps of photography and quick notes...
Big tides there. Where I am, the tide is not very dramatic. I really like the photo. That boat looks like a hand-built wooden boat. Don't see many around here but fiberglass.
Tena koe ehoaLove the interplay of textures and colours Ben. The boat serves to add a visual impact and POI to the image as well.
I like the luminance the sea radiates the glow of the boat and reflection, the framing, with the boat slightly off center! I would have just removed the sand strip from the top as it (at least to my eyes) adds a colour outside of the palette and adds a sort of hard frame to the top of the image where otherwise imagination would continue to the expanse of the sea.One more of your great images nevertheless!Cheers!
Thanks All,I agree with Lachezar and I posted the revised version.Guess what, I actually did that before for photo contest entry.I sent a version of this image to photo contest. I did print this on 8x10 at photo shop (which clop the both side a little). After I received the print, I cut off the sandy part on top and sent on 10th/April.
Thank you for visiting!I welcome any constructive criticism, advise and comment. Please let me know what you like and dislike about the image posted.
