My personal footsteps of photography and quick notes...
6:00pm, 4/4/2007, I was just playing with new toy and look up the outside only to find this dramatic cloud. I was middle of changing something but just set to Program Auto and snap this. Crank up sharpness and noise reduction a bit but practically straight out from camera.
Pretty good colour range and exposure for a "shot from the hip" The clouds are really dramatic indeed. More megapixels pay of for sure! did you shut it in RAW?I somehow, always get a better result processing RAW image with Nikon View than with Photoshop.Keep it up Ben!Cheers
Those are some CRAZY clouds! Beautiful photo.
Lachezar, I'm shooting in RAW and use LR (for now). You've got PM for little more detail. and thanks for complement.Cheers Ruth, I really possessed to take a shot of those crazy cloud.
Lots of interest in those clouds! Skies are wonderful photo subjects. The landscape below looks good too. A big sky with a bit of scenery underneath is a good combination.
I totally agree with you, Gavin. The sky is very interesting subject. Cheers.
Beautiful. I love it when the clouds are layered at different altitudes and different types and different colors and shades. Then the backlighting by the sun here perfects it.
