I must have a 'thing' about hills. I know this is a photo of a beautiful tree but I really like the glimpse of those hills in the left and right background - wish I could see more of that landscape.
Tena koe ehoa The colour is very vibrant but as Nick alluded to it's a very bouncy and effervescent colour that just sings out loud!. We're pretty much done for colour up here Ben. Concrete colours skies and matt greens of late have been the staple background for images at least in the Waikato anyway.
I look forward to seeing some of those extreme south island winter images....
Beautiful, subject and the photo overall. I can't tell for sure, but that looks like what we call "sweetgum" trees in the U.S. southeast. My favorite tree of all because of their great fall colors.
Thank you everyone. The evening light was just shine through those yellow leaves through the side road at opposite side of the road. You can see the light beam on the ground on this image. It was magical finding.
I'm not sure about the name of the tree. I posted the close-up of leaves as the next post, so you may be able to find out if this is the one, JAM.
No specific topics. I take a photo of everything from my surrounding. I like watching sky and cloud and apparently it is a big part of my collection.

The dark ground brings all the focus on this beautiful fireball, I love it.

Pure delight Ben, as much as Gavin likes the hills, I marvel at the fading light reflecting in the window...
Cheers, Lachezar.
