Ben, this is a phantastic b&w image. Two thumbs up! Is just perfect! Cheers!
Love that Airport! Did not know it had a licenced cafe although I have checked out the coffee and that was pretty good! Another great shot! You now have the top appreciation award from Lachezar, Ben, that is a real honour. Keep those black and white shots coming!

Thanks, both.
It may be little bit contrary but I wanted to reduce an attention from the queue but leave it as a hint of busyness/rush in this small air port at the time.
I'm not sure what award you mentioned, Lesley. He's been great commenter in this place for long time not mention he's a also a fantastic photographer. He left link to the old URL so just check here for his work.
Excellent high contrast b & w Ben. The diagonal shadows lead nicely to the queue of people nicely subdued by the shadows.
Ben, I have been looking at Lachezar's work for some time now, and also viewed all his previous works on his website. I have to say he is an extremely accomplished photographer, hence my comment regarding his admiration of your work. Your standard is very high if he thinks your work is great, if you know what I mean. I am just a lowly appreciator of an artistic eye. Both of you, keep up the great work - I love it!

Cheers, Gavin. The first attempt on same image was much more darker space around the queue. And I thought it was better bring them up a little. So I applied little expose compensation at that area (painted with lightroom).
Lesley, I appreciate everyone's comment especially a constructive suggestions and views of their own. So, your own expressions to the image will be much appreciated and it will become my treasure. I do not have many regular commenter, but from the stat, I see many returns.
The original colour version is here.
Another great shot Ben! I like the shadows cast by the sun and all the detail on the counter :)
Cheers

Ah, I thought your original post had a darker area around the line of people! But I put it down to my viewing with the sunlight in the study and thought my screen had tricked me. I have to say I liked the first post better, more mysterious and encouraged deeper inspection tempting the imagination - but both are good. Lesley Expat Kiwi
PS: you got me - I do pop in to peek off and on, it is great to see the ideas that come up, and to be honest I like photography and the varied presentations.

yes, th e original was much darker at the queue and almost close to the black. Initally I liked that way to get more attention to the counter but I decided to balance out little more to bring the atomosphare at the time. When I looked from where I took the shot, It was quite bright and even the colour version does not do tteh justice in that point of view.
I repost the darker version of Image for comparison.
I prefer the darker one as focuses more on the main subjects in the photo and makes for a more dramatic shot.

Cheers, Pete. Appreciated your input. I thought it was much more darker on the fist post as it was almost black at the top right corner. I probably made another variation during process. On this monitor, darker version looks good.
Still prefer the darker shot - and maybe you are right, the very first post was a fraction darker, but memory plays tricks, like trying to remember colour to match something - it never is exactly the same. Did not care for the colour version of this shot at all. Cheers
